Vertical Lead - Strategy & New Product Development

Covvalent is a cloud manufacturer focusing on at-risk specialty chemicals and raw materials for FMCG, AgroChemicals, Paints, Inks & Coatings, and pharmaceutical manufacturers. We develop an equivalent through our inhouse R&D capability and hence reduce dependence on single sources.

We are a US HQ firm, with over five offices across the US and India and have been funded by Nexus Venture Partners.

Responsibilities:

- Strategic Supply Chain Management: Develop and implement strategic processes aligned with organizational goals.

- Strategic Supply Chain Management: Ensure efficient procurement from supplier selection to contract management.

- Vendor Management: Manage procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management,

- Vendor Management: Ensure the availability of high-quality materials and goods for new product development.

- Continuous Improvement: Assess and enhance supply chain processes for cost reduction and efficiency.

- Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the supply chain for new product development.

- Supplier Relationship Management: Identify and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Drive quality, cost savings, and reliability through effective collaboration.

- Market Intelligence and Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform supply chain strategies in the Agro/Pharma/FMCG of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

- 2-4 years of experience in supply chain management or related roles. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.

- A Master's degree or relevant certifications is a plus.

- Proven track record of successfully managing supply chain operations and achieving cost savings.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
