About the Role :

The role is to manage the account payables, banking and taxation aspects of finance, reporting into the Financial Controller. It is imperative for the incumbent of the role to have be a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

Banking, Payables & Audit :

- Maintain the account payables and expense reporting files. Ensure verification and transaction entry to journals, ledgers etc.

- Daily coordination with bank for payment processing and miscellaneous tasks; validation & verification of banking transactions; bank reconciliations, settlements etc.

- Prepare and publish monthly, quarterly and annual MIS on expenses, provisioning schedule, reports for statutory / audit / others.

- Ensure successful closure of statutory audit by active participation in data preparation, query resolution, documentation of recommendations etc.

- Manage treasury function i.e. investment of surplus funds in various instruments. Manage fixed asset accounting.

- Prepare and publish periodic reports on cash flow, payable reports; coordinate for vendor invoicing and payouts across departments.

- Manage and ensure closure on investor due diligence reporting on need basis.

Taxation (Direct / Indirect) :

- Monthly filing of income tax returns, TDS, payments and quarterly verification.

- Monthly GST working, reports, payments and filing of returns. Managing notice responses as and when required.

- Complete tax audit, advance tax closures (as applicable).

- Managing statutory, internal / external, tax auditors and coordinating for successful completion of audit process

- Prepare and manage data for Direct Tax - assessments, appeals, assistance in lower deduction certificate working.

Your key qualifications & competencies :

- Chartered Accountant with at least 8 years' post qualification experience in Finance and Accounting function; preferably from BFSI sector.

- Commercial and business understanding; strong attention to detail and technical know how of financial aspects.

- Strong inclination to work in a start-up to scale-up organization with a blend of hands-on and managerial approach.
