Vice President/Senior Vice President - AI Labs POSITION SUMMARY : The VP/SVP of AI Labs will lead the AI Labsforthe organization. This organization is the innovation hub of the company, and serves as the Artificial Intelligence, Product Engineering and R&D arm of the company. It is chartered with solving complex business problems through Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Computing, Computer Perception, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing and SaaS Product/Platform Engineering EXPERIENCE : - 15+ years in Software Engineering, with at least 5+ years in AI/ML - Preferably someone with R&D experience (e.g. India R&D organizations of Software Product MNCs) - Proven track record in architecting and developing scalable and high-performance Machine Learning-based products & solutions for large-scale production environments. - Drive the development of scalable, high-performance, and fault-resilient AI products & platforms. Own the creation and management of all AI and product engineering roadmaps at the company - Partner with company businesses to manage current product releases, and build/deploy new AI proof-of-concepts & prototypes. Provide oversight to the technical lifecycle management of company's flagship AI products.. - Conduct software and AI research, and deploy modern processes, technologies & frameworks to convert business ideas into high-end products and solutions. Investigate the architectural and engineering requirements of advanced AI & software systems, and drive the development/fulfillment of the same. - Systemic study and adoption of the latest developments in AI and software engineering. Establish reference architectures, generate thought leadership, and drive high-end IP generation. - Provide leadership to a highly technical team of AI, R&D and Product Development resources. Proactively address their competency development needs. Manage resources and tradeoffs) to enable AI Labs to meet its cost, output, and quality goals. - Establish and drive clear chains of accountability among multiple technical teams - Core Engineering, AI & Machine learning, Technical Architecture, and Engineering Shared Services. - Mandatory: Java, Python, TensorFlow/Keras or PyTorch, Solution Architecture - Optional: Angular/JavaScript,.NET, MongoDB, Hadoop, Spark - Strong understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing and Text Mining techniques and algorithms. - Strong foundation in data structures, virtualization, performance tuning, software design principles, quality assurance & validation, and disaster recovery. - Working knowledge of agile/scrum, distributed development, DevOps, Microservices, Big Data, NoSql and Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Ability to lead multiple complex projects, and manage a high-performing technical team. - Successfully operate in a dynamic and high-pressure environment under minimal supervision. - Ability to come up with out-of-the-box solutions for complex, previously unsolved, problems
