Country Tax Head

POSITION PURPOSE:

- Responsible for all tax related compliances and litigations in the India and the South Asia region

- Represents organization to the local tax authorities, third parties as well as intra-group stakeholders.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- South Asia responsibility for Tax Planning, feasibility of local transactions and optimization of tax position of the legal entities while complying with tax laws and international tax treaties

- M&A Tax, support global M&A with respect to India country requirements

- Transfer Pricing with expertise on Transfer Pricing requirements, documentations on related parties also from a Company Law perspective

- Implementation of Processes for Core Taxes (Corporate Income Tax, state specific GST (plus Legacy taxes), local & international withholding taxes, Transfer Price governance

- Tax consulting for Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, GST etc

- Tax compliance for Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, Real Estate Transfer Tax etc

- Steer all tax audits / litigations relating to Core Taxes,

- Minimization of tax risks of the Indian legal entities and support South Asia entities.

WHO YOU ARE:

- Tax specialist with local university- Graduation in Commerce or Law stream, along with post qualification in Chartered Accountancy, tax advisor, or tax lawyer

- Minimum of 15+ years of professional experience in tax, preferably in an multinational corporate, consulting or tax administrative environment

- Excellent knowledge of local tax law and regulations and high degree of understanding of international tax rules and transfer pricing practices and policies

- Understanding of complex business issues and strategies, deep knowledge in the field of Indian Corporation Tax, Indian Transfer Pricing regulations, state specific Value Added Tax (VAT) or Sales Tax/GST, International Transfer Pricing (OECD/UN rules)
