Country Manager - Travel/Tourism

Company Profile: our clients who are the Tourism Promotions Board of major country wanting to develop outbound tourism (leisure, education, business, conferencing/events) from India. The positions are based in Mumbai.

The key responsibility for this positions is devising and implementing strategies to grow the visitor economy to that country. The focus is on driving tourism and acquiring and developing major events for our client country.

The Vision is to make our client's country one of the most successful tourism and events destinations from India.

We have the following vacancies:

1. Country Manager: Will head the marketing/business development initiatives. Will lead a small team and be responsible for increasing tourist travel to our client country. We are looking for Graduates/MBAs with 8-20 years experience of which recent few years must be in travel industry and involved in promoting outbound / destination travel to foreign countries. Must have had successful exposure & track-record in designing & implementing marketing/PR strategies. Must have had exposure in forging alliances and leading a team.

Must have exposure to:

- working of the tourism industry retail operations with a sound knowledge of the structure and operation of the tourism industry.

- experience in coordinating events

- developing partnership programs that deliver successful returns

- work both independently and as a team member.
