Country Manager - Payment Gateway Bangalore (12-15 years)
Reports to - Chief Commercial Officer (e-commerce)
Stakeholders (top leadership team, investors, BoDs and regional heads)
Client details- A UK based one of the most profitable, innovative and fastest-growing FinTech businesses, it's a leading non-bank provider of foreign exchange for private individuals, corporates and e-commerce companies.
It has established a Wholly Owned Subsidiary in India in order to offer Indian and global eCommerce merchants it's market leading cross-border collection and payment services.
Brief overview of the role- Act as local Director for our client in India
The role presents a unique opportunity to drive our client's expansion into the Indian market. The incumbent will be responsible for establishing its physical office and operations in Bangalore, for building a fully operational staff to service the Indian market, for building a culture of high performance, and execute the business strategy at a regional level. He/she should be commercially focused, with a holistic understanding of operational, regulatory, and acquisition activities required to drive business growth and performance.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in a senior leadership role (5+ years), preferably within the financial services (payment gateways), non-bank financial institution, Fintech organizations - or alternatively, experience with eCommerce industry
Prior experience of Foreign Exchange and payments products highly beneficial, but not essential if experience is from related financial institutions.
Experience in setting up new operations in India highly beneficial
Experience in market entry/market development highly beneficial
Demonstrative experience managing a P&L and executing business strategies at a local/regional level.
Experience of regulatory engagement beneficial.
Experience in a global, matrix organisation and familiarity with global reporting lines is beneficial.
