The Position :

Reporting directly to the GM of Asia-Pacific and a China Board (comprised of the CEO, COO and Asia President), Managing Director of India is expected to drive business forward and make an immediate positive impact on the company's overall strategy and in particular the right partnership/alliance with top domestic internet players.

He/she must be someone who brings credibility and leadership skills to quickly establish rapport with key stakeholders externally and internally. The ideal candidate will have the overriding mandate to also deliver revenue/profit expectations through strengthening the India team, operationalize a winning go-to-market plan, and drive the critical partnership discussions with clients group.

Candidate Profile :

The ideal candidate needs to bring hands on exposure in driving both strategy and operations in e-commerce/search/advertising business with success in acquisition, sales management and client service. He/she also needs to know how to operate a business around its core competencies and develop new capabilities to become an industry leader. It is critical that this individual has a strong network of senior industry contacts to initiate and drive strategic alliance discussions with the senior most leaders in the digital space.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strength in the following core competencies:

- Ability to quickly grasp the key operating levers of a business, anticipate future business trends, technology developments and market expectations, and translate them into new business opportunities

- Analytical and data driven, able to create and evaluate strategies and business plans that incorporate competitive issues, trends in the industry and external factors; able to translate growth strategy into series of initiatives and priorities

Leadership, Influencing, and Stature, as evidence by :

- Proven team leadership and development track record, with the ability to manage a cohesive team through balanced inspirational - delegating - directive approach

- Have demonstrated track record of recruiting, retaining, mentoring, coaching, and motivating best-in-class team that can cope with changing business model and fast growth while bringing out the best performance at all levels of the organization; able to develop

- Have an influencing style that enables buy-in at all levels across external client / partner and internal company organizations through clear, consistent and on-going communication; able to use a variety of techniques to build consensus and sway opinion in situations where he/she does not have direct authority over final decisions
