Our client is looking to hire Country General Manager to set up India business, providing safety solutions and services in the Oil and Gas Sector.The role will be based out of Gujarat.

Job Description

Reporting to the RVP Asia and Eastern Europe your responsibilities will include:

- Establishing contracting structure, administrative and governance disciplines that allow the company to operate ethically and in compliance with local rules, regulations and laws

- Understanding and effectively managing key financial issues that impact operations functions and the business

- Actively pursuing business development and professional networking to further the growth of the organization.

- Directing the use of company resources, both personnel and equipment, between other Service Centers/Districts to achieve maximum efficiency, profitability, and utilization of Company resources

- Working with Health and Safety executive to recommend, develop and improve safety procedures, training, long-range accident prevention and cost containment objectives

- Developing short and long-term forecasts, departmental goals and objectives in areas including staffing, equipment needs, problem prevention, and corrective action program

- Working with others to develop new and/or improved procedures, processes and work standards for operational units. Integrating new concepts, technologies and practices and aligns with future needs to meet objectives

The Successful Applicant

You have more than 15 years experience working in the Oil and Gas Sector at a senior management level. You come with first hand refining experience, preferably at multi-plant or multi-department level and have excellent contacts/network. You must have prior experience working at a MNC and tendering for projects in Oil and Gas sector thereby giving you an adequate understanding of sales operations. You are preferably a promoter & believer in environment, health and safety/ Industrial and worker safety. You hold an Engineering/Management Degree in a related field (preferred not mandatory).You are a self starter with the ability to take a firm stance and make prudent, ethical decisions in a timely manner.
