We are looking for engineering graduates with hands on exposure to counterparty credit risk. We can consider techo-functional skill set for the below role. Ideally someone who is working on market risk systems for genearating VaR numbers.

Business Description :

The Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) Operations is a unit of Market Risk Management (MRM). It is part of the Risk function and is independent of the trading businesses.

CCR is primarily responsible for analysing and monitoring the stressed/unstressed Potential Future Exposure (PFE) and Expected Positive Exposure (EPE)calculations. CCR forms a part of the Basel 3 Framework. The function involves managing complex and interlinked risks, and reducing the overall impact of capital requirements.

Position Description :

This role will comprise the following key responsibilities :

- Review and monitor the production of Daily PFE &Monthly EPE numbers.

- Ensure completeness of run and accordingly take remedial action, if required.

- Discuss, escalate and drive resolution of production issues with IT, Analytics and Business teams.

- Proactively realize opportunities for improvement in existing control checks and processes.

- Deploying and managing the appropriate checks framework to meet the quality mandate.

- Represent CCR and the wider MRM function in DB-wide program initiatives as necessary.

Job Requirements :

Essential skills :

- Understanding of Basel 3 concepts.

- Understanding of Derivative Valuation & Simulation Techniques.

- Previous knowledge of Risk/Finance.

- Strong skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, VBA) & SAS.

- Thrives within a changing environment, showing initiative and drive.

- Appreciation of the requirements of an operational control environment.

- Experience with process management would be a plus.

Education / Qualifications Requirements :

- Educated to Engineering Degree or Equivalent

- Detail-orientated

- Team orientated and motivated

- Able to work on autonomous basis or as part of team

- Able to cope well under pressure and tight deadlines

- Willingness to challenge senior stakeholders if required.
