Cost Control/ Cost Estimation - EPC/Oil and Gas/Power /Metals and Mining

Role: Cost Controller

Equivalent Level: Manager/ Senior Manager

Education: Engineering degree (preferably mechanical/ civil/ electrical/ chemical) with a 1st Class from a reputed institute. Candidates with an MBA from a Tier-1/2 Institutewill be an added advantage.

Experience Profile: 15-20 years of project management experience, delivering large-scale capital projects

- End-to-end experience of cost estimation and cost control, from conceptualization to commissioning

- Must have completed at least one large-sized capital project as a lead cost controller

- AACE- certificationwill be desirable

- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) desirable

- Certified user of and hands-on experience with Cost Management software

- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities

- Robust communication and co-ordination skills

- Good decision making and negotiation skills

Job Description:

- Overall responsibility of developing cost estimates & budgets and establishing the cost control framework on a capital project

- Define the Cost Breakdown Structure in line with the Project Work Breakdown Structure

- Implement cost management processes including Cost Forecasting and Cash Flow Forecasting, working with relevant stakeholders (PMC/ Engg/ Procurement/ Vendors/ Construction Sub-contractors/ Commissioning); integrate functional costs towards developing the integrated cost forecasts; ensure synchronization with schedule

- Review budget v/s estimate-at-completion and identify initiatives for improvement using analytic tools such as variance analysis, earned value analysis etc.

- Develop cost reports

- Facilitate discussions with Client management to propose and execute corrective actions

- Manage updates to the Project Budget based on corrective actions agreed
