Cost Accountant
Job Responsibilities :
- Planning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
- Analyzing data collected and recording results
- Analyzing changes in raw materials, manufacturing methods, to determine effects on cost
- Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
- The Cost Accountant records cost information for use in controlling expenditures
- Should monitor and manage costing in SAP system and control all material movement with cost component
- Should be able to maintain accurate COGS and COGM.
- Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports
- Making estimates of new and proposed product costs
- Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Maintaining Cost Accounting System
- Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger
- Conducts physical inventories and monitors cycle count program
- Reconciles finished goods inventories
- Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills;
- Computer Literate - Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word
- Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards
- Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
Job Requirements :
- Should be from the manufacturing industry
- SAP S4 Hana experience is compulsory.
- Product costing experience mandatory
- Male candidates required
- Candidate must have experience in FMCG Manufacturing or production background in Hygiene products.
- Should be available to join immediately, preferable.
- Job posting in ANGOLA/DUBAI.
- Relevant experience and strong working knowledge of management accounting practices
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Proven experience of working in job costing environment
- Strong spreadsheet skills, preferably MS Excel, PowerPoint presentations and high level of competence in the use of other IT systems
- Should have strong communication skills with presentation to Management.
- Portuguese language will be added advantage.
