Cost Accountant/Analyst - Manufacturing Firm

A large, well established and diversified Indian business group - Lagos, Nigeria

To be the costing think tank of the group to support the Group Management and analyse cost matrixes to derive & give critical views to the Group Chairman/ board on any Financial issue of any of the group companies. The role is that of a business partner and the mainly provide 360 degrees support to the Board on any cost issues. As a senior member of the Group Management team, he is expected to be highly analytical with Cost conscious mindset.

This position will have the overall accountability to:

- Support the board on all financial issues and decision making.

- Ensure timely analysis of all financial data and suggest corrective measures to protect the financial health of the group companies.

- Suggest improvement in corporate Financial governance and process benchmarks

- Analysis of the Group Unit's projected budgets, Annual Operating plans and find and suggest ways and means to maximise return on investment.

- To work on cost control & reduction measures on continuous basis.

- MUST be a cost accountant i.e. ICWA (CA with costing background may also be considered)

- Should have experience in handling product costing in a manufacturing set up with annual turnover of about US $1000M.

- Should have a strong exposure to manufacturing cost analysis, cost auditing, MIS etc.

- He should have about 20 years of experience of which, 3 years should be as Head of costing department.

- African experience is essential and Nigerian experience is desirable.
