One of the reputed banks in Bangalore is hiring a Corporate Manager with 5+ years of experience in employment law.

Job Description

- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts like MOUs, LOIs, NDAs, Service Agreements, Consultancy Agreements, Manpower Supply Agreements, License Agreements and any other business correspondence requested by HR Dept. for vendor engagements and third party tie-ups.

- Understanding legality and implications of key contractual terms and negotiating for the best interest of the organization.

- Drafting, reviewing and providing mentorship on drafting and development of policies and procedures specifically related to HR Dept. Assisting HR Dept. in modification of SOP, Code of Conduct of Ujjivan from time to time and also preparation of Terms of Appointment Order/review of employment contracts.

- Providing advice and mentorship on all internal investigations and recommending implementation of appropriate actions.

- Assisting the internal disciplinary committees in analysing and dealing with Disciplinary Action cases and Appeals referred to such committee for termination. Assisting the Regional Offices of Ujjivan in preparing Show Cause Notices, Charge sheets, Inquiry Report and Final Orders in Disciplinary Action cases.

- Preparing replies to queries from Regional Offices regarding Disciplinary action cases, Suspension, Leave, Resignation and Termination of Employees.

- Coordinating with Regional Offices in conducting periodical review for ensuring speedy disposal of disciplinary cases. Coordinating with Regional Offices in dealing with matters before the Labour Courts/Industrial Tribunal/Cases under Payment of Wages Act and any matter in Courts.

- Assisting the internal disciplinary committee in respect of all cases relating to POSH, till passing of the final order.

- Providing end-to-end legal advice in all matters of employment law issues including hiring, discipline, termination, pay and benefits.

- Attending to all correspondences with the external clients of respective Business Departments of Ujjivan from legal perspective and assisting in its closure. Providing legal advice to various internal departments like Admin, HR, Finance, etc, pertaining to queries on employment laws, internal policies and SOPs

- Providing legal advice and ensuring compliance with labour laws applicable to Ujjivan including CLRA, Gratuity, ESI, PF, Bonus and such other laws.

- Advising managing and assisting in registration of trademarks and other IPRs of Ujjivan. Need based assessment of legal & regulatory problems and providing informed solutions through detailed research and understanding.
