Corporate Finance Head - Treasury - Renewable Energy

Job brief:

The Corporate Finance Director will have responsibility for developing and implementing the financing strategy of the company in support of a fast-growing business in the renewable energy space.

Responsibilities:

- Overall responsibility to develop and execute the optimal short and long-term financing strategy of the company, anticipating cash flow needs of the company, and balancing it with available equity and debt options

- Anticipate and manage all financing risks connected with the overall business strategy

- Run debt sourcing processes with regional banks, negotiate termsheets and facility agreements, as well as manage due diligence, working closely with the Head of Investor Relations

- Ensure smooth execution and implementation of the facility agreements, working closely with the Finance Director and the technical/ business development teams

- Manage any external specialist advice needed from consultants

- Manage stakeholders across both equity and debt investors, including running of the Debt Working Group

Requirements:

- The candidate is expected to have a Finance or related qualification, with ~10-15 years of corporate finance experience in the region

- A combination of buy and sell side experience will be highly attractive, as well as financing at the portfolio/ corporate level (not limited to just project financing)

- Solid market knowledge and a robust network with key banks in the region

- Industry specific experience in solar development, especially on open access, rooftop and working with Commercial and Industrial customers, will be highly attractive

- Excellent critical and reasoning skills, supported by a solution-oriented mindset

- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization

- Strong written and communication skills in relation to both financing and commercial issues, and ability to lead leading complex and significant negotiations

- Ability to deliver high-quality work under deadlines and work independently
