Opportunity
Copal is currently looking for a dedicated and motivated individual who has demonstrated academic excellence and has strong leadership, organizational and teamwork skills for leading the delivery of its Capital Markets practice. Type of work executed by this group is focused on structured products and includes a variety of quantitative and qualitative analysis such as:
- Preparation of marketing pitch books and thematic research
- Structured quantitative analytics such as back testing and analysis of structured products, cash flow modeling for various asset classes and scenario analysis
- Index creation, calculation and monitoring
- Market risk assessment, capital estimation, portfolio risk measurement and margin risk calculation
- Newsletters such as market updates and price runs
- Client/Internal reporting of performance
The role would involve:
- Managing and scaling up offshore teams for servicing the capital markets divisions of global investment banks with specific focus on structured products and supporting client sales teams
- Playing an active role in expansion of the practice by building customized value propositions for existing and potential clients, and responding to RFIs/RFPs in close coordination with Copal’s business development team
- Managing client engagements, overseeing deliverables and ensuring high quality output
- Training, coaching and mentoring teams
- Developing new capabilities
Location - Copal’s Gurgaon offices
Required Background
- MBA or Post Graduate in Quantitative/Finance disciplines from reputed institutes
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Candidates with experience of working within securitized products in a client facing role in New York, London, Hong Kong or Singapore will be given preference
- Strong fundamental understanding of products and asset classes such as Derivatives, Convertible Bonds, CDOs and ABS (RMBS/CMBS)
- Strong quantitative and technical skills
- Excellent team management and client management skills
- Ability to work against tight deadlines in a global delivery environment
