Role Overview : Convosight seeks an experienced and strategic Finance person to join our dynamic leadership team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the company's financial health, with a specific focus on driving financial and operational excellence and long-term growth and profitability

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

Company Level:

1. Fincanning, budgeting, and budget management.

2. Review and optimise the company's financial health and performance.

3. Set short-term and long-term goals related to liquidity and growth.

Function Level:

1. Establish and refine financial processes and tracking for Accounts Receivable, Payable, Treasury and Cash Management, and Financial Operations.

2. Implement robust financial controls and processes across key financial areas.

3. Ensure statutory compliance and lead financial planning and reporting.

Investor Relationship:

1. Prepare MIS and Board Decks.

2. Oversee new investments, deal structuring, term-sheets, and pre and post-closing activities.

3. Lead financial and legal diligence for investment activities.

4. Develop financial projections and cash-flow modelling.

5. Ensure compliance with investment regulations.

Statutory & Audit:

1. Ensure compliance with global financial and tax requirements

2. Oversee and ensure timely and successful internal and external audits.

3. Demonstrate risk management, financial prudence, and structuring knowledge.

Cross Collaboration:

1. Collaborate with Sales Ops, Technology, Client Success, and Sales Ops.

2. Drive key initiatives related to IT infrastructure required for internal processes.

Driving Excellence in Role:

1. Team Building and Development:

- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing finance team.

- Mentor, train, and develop internal talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

- Identify and nurture key talents within the finance department to take on larger responsibilities.

2. Financial Process Management:

- Establish and maintain a strong cadence for financial processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.

- Develop and implement robust tracking mechanisms for financial changes and reporting.

- Exhibit an obsession with understanding the details behind financial processes while maintaining an eye on the bigger picture.

3. Self-Awareness and Learning Mindset:

- Demonstrate a high self-awareness and a mindset for fast learning and iteration.

- Proactively seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.

- Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate relevant knowledge into the finance strategy.

4. Articulation Skills:

- Possess the ability to understand intricate financial details while articulating concepts at a high level.

- Communicate effectively with the leadership team, stakeholders, and other departments to ensure alignment with overall company objectives.

5. - Interest in Self-Learning and Empathy:

- Maintain a keen interest in self-learning and stay updated on key financial trends and industry best practices.

- Exhibit strong empathy and awareness around financial implications, ensuring alignment with Convosight's values and goals.

Background & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant.

- 10+ years of experience.

- Graduate Degree.

- Experience at a Big 4 Accounting Firm is a plus-plus.

- Must have at least 5 years of experience in Series A or Series B Startup.
