Manage a variety of domestic commercial contracts in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and customer requirements. A Level C will provide strategic and contract advice to Accenture’s business units and project teams on the contract and policy compliance matters. Strong business and organizational skills are required, as is the ability to multi-task, liaise with operational, project management and finance teams on various aspects of the contract.

The Level B may manage more than one engagement or, alternatively, be full-time on a single engagement (depending on the size/complexity of the agreement).

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic advisory role to the business Leads on the particular contract

- Responding to complex enquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions;

- Identification of risks and issues, and suggesting alternatives that lead to the best solution;

- Review and management of contractual obligations of the parties and provision of continual review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met;

- Preparation and dissemination of information regarding contract status, compliance, modifications, etc;

- May generate reports required to monitor contract compliance;

- Assists in identifying contract management issues and proposing solutions for approval

- Responsible for ensuring that where Contract Management is deployed, contract compliance is maintained and issues resolved. If the contract is not complied with or issues are not resolved they must be promptly escalated to their Contract Management line manager

- Provides negotiation and contract drafting support for local agreement, change control, statements of work, work plans, sub contractors, etc;

- Independently works at smaller engagements and/or works within team at a large, complex engagement;

- Independently applies the Contract Management tools and techniques to assigned projects;

- Acts as the primary contact between the project team and/or business unit and CM, assisting in ensuring that all legal and contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly;

- Acting as liaison between Accenture and clients/vendors;

- Responsible for ensuring contract compliance and issues resolved or promptly escalated.

- Responsible for informing the project team of the requirements of the contract and monitoring compliance;

- Development and integration of contract management tools, templates, methods and processes for the engagement;

- Responsible for setting up, implementing and execution of CM processes and tools across deals (CM processes include contract awareness, change management, IP management etc, risk & issue, deliverables etc )

Relationships:

- Reports to: Contract Manager – India Business Lead

- Supervises: No direct reports but depends on future growth of business

External Relationships:

- Client procurement/contract management professionals, vendor representatives and other client project personnel

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

- Understands basic contracting principles – LLB/LLM

- Detail-oriented, organized, flexible

- Able to set priorities and juggle multiple demands

- Strong written and oral communication skills

- Able to apply sound business judgment

- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Specialized subject matter expertise
