Broad responsibilities
- Act as single point of contact from the legal team for all claims raised on or by the Company.
- Coordinate with the project team to prepare responses to claims raised on the Company
- Assist the project team to prepare claim assessments for extension of time or additional costs or change orders.
- Coordinate with business teams, senior management and other stakeholders to manage or provide inputs to project related correspondence with public authorities, contractors etc.
- Provide inputs and if required, manage any ensuing litigation.
- Handle any existing or future litigation of the Company.
- Coordinate with external counsel, issue or respond to legal notices, track case developments, attend hearings, publish litigation MIS and manage costs within the allocated budget.
- Coordinate with different teams to perform risk assessment for potential claims on or by the Company.
- Publish regular MIS as relevant and required.
- Provide inputs to the legal/compliance team for obligation management and other contractual compliances.
- Perform such other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Head Legal.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum Law graduate
- Minimum of five years experience and preferably from real estate.
- Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong drafting and techno legal skills.
- Ability to meet project objectives within designated constraints.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of business.
- Comfortable working as part of a multidimensional team.
