Financial Reporting Role

Position Title: Financial Reporting Analyst

Department: Finance

Location: Andheri and Kurla, Mumbai

Reports to: Finance Manager or Director of Financial Reporting

Job Summary:

The Financial Reporting Analyst plays a crucial role in the finance team by ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial reports. This position involves consolidating financial data, preparing financial statements, and supporting regulatory compliance. The role requires a keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Statement Preparation:

- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare accurate and timely financial statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.

Consolidation and Analysis:

- Consolidate financial data from various sources and business units. Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.

Regulatory Compliance:

- Stay current with financial regulations and accounting standards.

- Ensure compliance with reporting requirements imposed by regulatory bodies.

Internal Reporting:

- Generate and distribute internal financial reports to support management decision-making.

- Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant data for reporting purposes.

External Reporting:

- Assist in the preparation of external financial reports, including quarterly and annual filings. Coordinate with auditors and other external parties during the audit process.

Process Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial reporting.

- Implement changes to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of reporting processes.

Data Integrity:

- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data by conducting regular audits and reconciliations. Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues in financial reports.

Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis:

- Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as requested by management.

- Support special projects related to financial reporting.

- Qualifications: CA Required
