Job Summary :

The Finance Controller plays a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health and integrity of the organization. Responsible for managing and directing the accounting and financial reporting functions, the Finance Controller ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, accurate financial reporting, and effective internal controls. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

- Develop and manage the organization's financial planning and budgeting processes.

- Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators.

Financial Reporting:

- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Coordinate and liaise with external auditors for annual audits.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

- Establish and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial records. Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.

Cash Management:

- Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed. Manage relationships with financial institutions and optimize banking activities.

Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department.

Risk Management:

- Identify and assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.

- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging risks that may impact the organization.

Strategic Financial Initiatives:

- Collaborate with senior leadership in the development and execution of financial strategies that align with organizational goals.

- Participate in strategic planning processes to provide financial expertise and insights.
