A leading multinational publishing house is seeking candidates for below mention position:-

Position: Content Manager

Location: Delhi/NCR

Position Summary:

To manage editorial support services relating to the creation, maintenance, and development of Indian language lexical content for licensing activities in line with business requirements and product needs, ensuring that the services contribute to content developed according to best practice.

Principal Accountabilities:

- Content creation and development : Manage editorial support services relating to the creation and development of new and existing Indian language lexical content.

- Team management and supervision : Recruit and manage teams of internal and external editorial support staff in multiple Indian languages.

- Editorial support services training and development : Implement a rigorous on-going training programme, with support from other editorial support services colleagues.

- Editorial support services planning : Support Content Director, Product Manager, and other stakeholders, by making recommendations for, and developing, scoping, and planning the editorial support team's input to projects.

- Communication and cross-functional working : Work with marketing, product, technology, licensing, local editorial teams, etc as needed to represent editorial service questions and to ensure that editorial services plans are fully informed.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE :

Essential :

- Good undergraduate degree or equivalent in at least one language other than your own, or in linguistics

- Native speaker competence in a Scheduled Indian language and a high level of English

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Extensive practical editorial and editorial support services experience

- Demonstrable awareness of and interest in language and linguistic issues

- Can-do attitude to providing editorial support services in respect of content in unfamiliar languages and scripts

- Good organizational skills

- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with experience of recruiting, managing, and training staff

- Experience of working in an international team

- Ability to adapt, as well as to work fast and under pressure to deadlines

- Self-starter, comfortable with working in a flexible, changing environment

- Good knowledge of MS Office and openness to learning to work with unfamiliar technology and software solutions

Desirable :

- High level of competence in at least one additional Indian language

- Languages editorial and editorial services experience, ideally with knowledge of modern lexicographic methods and working with corporate

- Awareness of and skills in data handling and manipulation, including knowledge of structured databases
