PRODUCT MANAGER - PAYMENT ACCEPTANCE AND CARDS

NowNow is a FinTech startup licensed in the Nigeria and Angola with aggressive growth plans for additional countries in the Western Africa. We are a multi-product wallet driving financial inclusion Through seamless, intelligent, accessible financial products. We are looking for an equally passionate, tenacious, and resourceful member of the Leadership team.

You will be responsible for development and roll out of our Payment Acceptance Products and reporting to Product Head. NowNow's Payment acceptance products includes but not limited to Payment Gateway, Point of Sale (POS), SoftPOS, QR Code Payments, Open Banking for our B2B and B2C customers.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Lead execution of Payments Acceptance Products from inception till commercial roll out through all phases of the lifecycle.

- Understanding of all aspects of card acquiring: Scheme rules and pricing, risk considerations of various verticals, real-time transaction processing, with a core focus on 3DSecure2 and SCA

- Prior work experience implementing PSPs & Acquirers

- Deep knowledge of card schemes like master card, visa, rupay and card processing technology and practices

- Proven record of managing high performance cross functional teams and processes.

- Well networked in the cards industry and adept at maintaining stakeholder relationships

- Prior experience working in a global company and driving transformation via a global roadmap

- Should have an in-depth understanding of payment gateway, MPGS, UPI and other platforms.

- Launch commercially viable products and features that delight B2C and B2B customers in the most challenging markets - underbanked, unbanked, emerging markets.

- Work closely with CXOs, product managers, business development, design, data science, customer experience, business development team and other teams to gain deep knowledge of our customers and their needs to deliver unique value proposition to our customers.

- Imagine, champion, and enforce processes to make delivery of features as efficient as possible

- Work closely with product team to define detailed requirements for technical teams; work

closely with technical teams to establish two-way channels of communication and strong mutual understanding.

- Define and communicate priority of product backlogs with relevant stakeholders.

- A track record of developing innovative products and finding product market fit

- Relentless focus on the customer.

REQUIREMENTS:

- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience post bachelor's degree in engineering or Science as product manager with Bank or FinTech industry is a must.

- Strong understanding of Payment Gateway, POS, SoftPOS, and QR Code Payments, Open Banking etc. is a must.

- Understanding of Crypto or Decentralized Finance (DeFi) space is an added advantage.

- Hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams to define and deliver world class products to customers.

- Collaborative team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Experienced with various methods, tools and processes for managing projects (JIRA, Confluence), including Agile project management disciplines.

- Self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment.

- Previous work experience in FinTech startup is an added advantage.
