Profile :

JOB PURPOSE:

- As Head of Procurement, to take responsibility for procurement of all input materials for manufacture of personal care products across the country.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The incumbent shall occupy a key position as part of the overall supply chain of the business, and shall be responsible for procurement of all input materials (raw materials and packaging materials) for the personal care products business on a timely basis and as per planned requirements, and at minimal cost.

- Evaluate the requirements of a rapidly growing business, and fine tune the procurement model on a regular basis.

- Inculcate global best practice into the procurement function, especially in the areas of supplier relationship management, performance monitoring, inventory management and logistics, etc.

- Responsible for resolution of all issues related to quality, specifications, revalidations, damages/losses, etc.

- Take the lead in identifying new, more reliable and / or lower cost resources of supply.

- Work closely with product development teams to identify product improvement projects together with suppliers.

- Efficient management of inventories including tracking of non-moving or short expiry materials and co-ordinating with supply chain, marketing, etc to ensure optimal utilization.

- Carry responsibility for complying with laid down systems and processes in the material procurement, set-up new systems & fine tune existing ones to meet requirements of the business.

- Function as a team player to implement end to end solutions across the supply chain, including interactions with the demand planning, manufacturing and logistics teams and vendors & other external agencies.

- Generation of appropriate MIS and analytics on a regular basis to support performance management systems.
