Team Manager - Consulting (TMT) at Delhi / Gurgaon

POSITION SUMMARY:

- A Team Manager (TM) manages a team of analysts and associates and project leads, leading them in casework and professional development.

- The TM is responsible for the team’s overall answer and final materials, client communication, work planning, and team management.

- Typically a TM manages two projects at a time which may vary across geography and industry. TMs take responsibility for sharing appropriate information within workstreams and developing team members for key leadership roles.

- A TM provides feedback and coaches Associates and Project Leads on task execution and role. They provide significant direction and support to resolve complex issues and effectively manage client and team meetings.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

- Experienced professional with sound business logic and ability to structure approaches to answer complex and ambiguous business questions

- Serve as the primary point of contact with clients around the world

- Lead groups of analysts, associates and project leaders to execute multiple cases simultaneously

- Take responsibility for assigning workstreams; monitor and balance workloads

- Identify and employ relevant research sources and analytical tools

- Ensure timely, high quality, zero-defect output

- Show ability to resolve complex issues across workstreams

- Understand client needs and situations and adapt to case expectations

- Generate and screen realistic answers based on sound reality checks and recommend actionable solutions

- Communicate data, knowledge, and clearly explain insights and implications for the client to the entire team

- Effectively manage client or team meetings and deliver professional presentations to the team, Team Managers and managers/partners across the system

- Consistently provide responsible feedback in all interactions; recognize team’s development needs and provide feedback toward constant improvement

- Candidates should be graduate/post graduate from tier-1 colleges/business schools with 6 to 9 years of industry experience – a large part of which should be in the TMT (technology-media-telecom) domain.

- Candidates should possess excellent analytic, work planning, communication and team skills, able to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.

- Good team players and motivated individuals with strong academic records.
