Consultant - Sustainability - Infrastructure

Mandatory Qualifications :

- Postgraduate degree: Masters or MBA with specialization in Sustainable Business / Business Sustainability / Sustainability Management / Sustainable Development / Sustainability

(OR)

- M Tech or M Sc with specialization in Environmental Science / Climate Science /

- Environmental Engineering / Environmental Management

(OR)

- MA or M Sc Economics with specialization in Environmental Economics / Resource Economics (OR)

- MBA with specialization in Infrastructure or Construction Management (with knowledge of sustainability)

- 3-5 years of experience into strategy and insights.

- Work on advisory engagements for public sector and private sector clients related to the strategy, development, procurement and performance of infrastructure projects

- Strong market research skills which requires understanding of underlying drivers of growth and factors influencing demand and supply, etc.

- Have strong working knowledge of sustainability concepts and their application in one or more targeted infrastructure-specific areas such as investor ESG, energy transition, decarbonization and net zero, zero carbon transport, green buildings, environmental and social impacts of infrastructure, urban sustainability, affordable housing and livable communities. A detailed list of infrastructure sustainability areas is given below:

- Sustainable infrastructure services - adapting and rethinking our approach to procuring and delivering Infrastructure services to responding to Sustainability risks and opportunities

- Carbon/ Energy Economics - advising clients on strategies for reducing energy consumption, formulating emissions mitigation pathways and developing net zero strategies

- Social performance - advising our clients on how to implement social performance management standards and practices, including through conducting social risk assessments, evaluating the socioeconomic impacts of infrastructure, and through the development and implementation of social impact mitigation strategies

- Sustainable finance - supporting clients interested in exploring opportunities to develop infrastructure green/social impact bonds and other funding options to leverage funds for development, including work to develop green/social impact bond frameworks, structuring financing options and providing assurance support

- Disclosure assistance -advising clients on sector-specific disclosure practices and supporting them with disclosure operations across standards (TCFD, GRI, CDP, etc.)

- Business strategy development - strategy work and options assessment to manage social and environmental disruption and explore opportunities in emerging areas such as clean tech and green mobility to maximize a client's positive impact and value creation in their area of influence / operation

- Business strategy implementation - improving business / project / program performance to achieve Sustainability & Resilience outcomes identified in organizational strategies.

- Decarbonization - supporting clients in transition to Net Zero 2050 and medium-term 2030 targets and helping them move beyond traditional renewables procurement from a power generation perspective (areas for collaboration with Energy workstream/Prov/Feds)

- True Value - integrating Sustainability outcomes measurement and quantifying the benefits for projects, portfolios and organizations

- Hands on experience with global research assignments

- Strong expertise in MS Office suite

- Basic data visualization experience with tools such as Power BI and Tableau
