Consultant/Senior Consultant - Power & Utility Practice - Big4

We are looking to hire a Consultant/ Senior Consultant for a Big 4.

About the client's Power and Utility practice:

- Power and Utilities is a key business area where the team works across panoply of clients in Private sector, Banks and financing industry and various state and central ministries / regulators dealing with Power value chain. Familiarity with power sector is an added advantage to the candidate.

- The team works across a wide variety of areas based on emerging market trends and opportunities. The candidate will need to develop proficiency across these over a period of time based on available opportunities.

Job description :

Primary purpose of the role :

- Project execution: Projects execution involves strategic advisory support, digitalization and automation support, financial analysis, financial modelling, business plan, corporate and restructuring plan, market and policy research, assistance in policy formulation, drafting commercial documents, manage bid process, etc

Business development : Maintaining relationship with existing and prospective clients, generate leads and conversion, preparation of proposals and budgets.

- Exp in Digitization/Automation of processes in Power & Utilities sector will be an added advantage.

Job Description :

- Managing and mentoring team members

- Market entry and Investment decision making support

- Experience in financial modelling, financial analysis, bid advisory, commercial and financial due diligence

- Support in creation of bidding consortiums, supporting JV and MOU between parties

- Policy formulation and advocacy, program formulation

- Project design and capacity building

- Improvement of operational efficiency of organizations / business units or projects

- Business plan and strategy

- Technology adoption and implementation

- Capital project development and program management

Domain specific areas of work:

- Energy management plan and strategy including energy cost optimization

- Annual business plan of utilities

- Regulatory support to multiple stakeholders in the value chain

- Project risk assessment

- Improving energy efficiency and optimizing returns

Essential Skills:

- Basic problem solving skills

- Excellent communication skills including proficiency in English language

- Tools proficiency in Excel and Power point

The role provides opportunity to work directly with senior executives including C Suite and secretaries and other senior officials. Typical projects involve regular travel and in some cases extended stay in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. The candidate should be self disciplined and self motivated as he would be required to display ability to innovate, create lasting relationships and work independently with little supervision.

Required Experience/Technical Skills:

3-6 Years -Consultant

6-10 Years- Senior Consultant

Required Education :

- Engineer Graduate along with MBA from Premier B-School.
