The Opportunity is with an organisation of repute, founded in 1999, that operates as a private equity and venture capital firm specializing in growth, buyout and industry consolidation transactions. The company invests in media, entertainment, health care, logistics, supply chain, retail, infrastructure, education, and clean energy sectors.

Position Overview:

Retail Analytics Consultant- Based out of Bangalore.

- The consultant will be an Individual contributor and be part of a Data Science team

- The consultant will implement advanced data science models to solve complex business problems.

- He / She will be a professional with rich experience in Marketing Analytics and Advanced Analytics with specialization in CPG, FMCG and retail domain.

- He / She should've created analytical models like Market Basket Analysis, Competition

Analysis, Category Management, Segmentation, Trend Analysis, Price & Promotion Optimisation, Demand Forecasting, Market Mix Models, Predictive Models

- He / She will leverage both structured and unstructured data to understand and predict both project behavior, and effectively propose and communicate actions based on the results.

- Provide technical expertise in statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, and data mining / machine learning.

- Share best practices and learnings with colleagues and all areas of the business.

- Deliver projects on time and with the agreed scope.

- Perform advanced analytics in projects with clarity and accuracy showing the broad understanding of the problem at hand.

- Identify opportunities to improve models and help the business

- Interact with the stakeholders.

Education & main skills :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree (M.Sc., M.tech, B.tech) from a Tier I or Tier II university preferably from IIT' s, BITS, JNU, ISI, IISc or any globally ranked university

- Expert knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical software (SAS, SPSS, etc.), programming languages (R, Python, etc.), and statistical methods.

- 4 - 9 years of experience as a Consultant / Analyst / Data Scientist.
