Spark/Storm Consultant - Job Description

Key Responsibilities:-

A consultant level resource (4 to 8 years of prior experience) with expertise in Spark/Storm preferably in Resources/Oil & Gas or Utility or CNR Industry.

Able to manage full life-cycle of a Spark/Storm solution. This includes creating the requirements analysis, the platform selection, design of the technical architecture, design of the application design and development, testing, and deployment of the proposed solution

Able to lead & guide team of analysts to implement advanced analytics use cases through Spark/Storm

Experience:-

- Excellent written/ oral communication and presentation skills

- Ability to derive insight from large amounts of data from diverse sources

- Strong aptitude for coding and love for data and quantitative analysis

- Well versed with all MS Office packages

- Analytical thinking with ability to visualize analytical results suitable for consumption of C-suite

- Experience in tools Spark/Storm and integration of Hadoop coding development experience in working on Amazon EC2, EMR, or Cloudera based environment

- Experience in estimating efforts required to implement Spark/Storm solutions

Other Requirements/Education:-

- Oil & Gas or Utility or CNR Industry background

- Knowledge of other software packages like Spotfire, STI, Tableau, QlikView etc. will be given preference

- Big Data applications experience (exposure to - Platform as a Service- ) will be given preference

- Experience with other advanced analytics modelling tool/programming languages/statistical tools such as R, Python, SAS, SPSS will be given preference

- Ideal candidates would have an engineering degree with an MBA from Tier 1 B School (Preferably IIMs, IITs)
