Consultant - MSME Banking - Global Consulting Firm - Contractual Role

Our client, a top-tier consulting firm, is involved in a digital banking development project for a prominent public sector bank in India. To assist with this, they are seeking to bring on board two product managers who will be responsible for creating and launching new products in collaboration with both internal and external engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will be people with prior experience of building and managing corporate banking digital solution including but not limited to corporate internet banking (FEBA solution), trade finance/transaction banking solution (e.g. FINASTRA / FINESTRA), cash management solution, etc. or people with prior experience as an ex-banker / in fintech co. with deep understanding of business (corporate and MSME) banking.

Roles and responsibilities :

- Taking ownership of assigned tasks and employing project management frameworks to ensure their effective delivery.

- Working in tandem with the project team to Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from inception through launch.

- Reporting directly to the project lead, providing crucial updates on progress, challenges, and successes

- Presenting findings and recommendations to clients.

- Implementing recommended solutions and providing necessary assistance to the client in executing them.

- Collaborating with the broader case team, including Partners, to manage the overall project module.

- Contributing to the bank's digital strategy by delivering impactful products.

- Demonstrating effective communication skills and managing relationships with senior stakeholders.

Skill Required :

- 7+ years of experience in product management and product development

- Prior experience of building and managing corporate banking digital solution - including but not limited to corporate internet banking (FEBA solution), trade finance / transaction banking solution (e.g. FINASTRA / FINESTRA), cash management solution, etc.

- Prior experience as an ex-banker / in fintech co. with deep understanding of business (corporate and MSME) banking or prior experience of acting as a senior executive / vertical head across verticals such as Corporate Banking (Large Corp, Mid Corp), MSME Banking, Transaction Banking, Trade Finance, Cash Solutions / Cash Management Solutions.

- The clients are also open to candidates with previous experience as a e a corporate banking RM in Indian Bank. or previous experience of having worked with companies that offer corporate banking solutions / trade finance or txn banking solutions - e.g. Infosys, Finestra / Finastra, etc.

- Thorough understanding of MSME business (Lending and non-lending)

This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 12-month contract with room for further extension. This project is based out of Mumbai, and the selected consultants would need to be onsite for the entirety of the project duration.
