Consultant - Financial Services

Key responsibility areas:

- Advise clients on high-profile mandates in the financial services space with regards to complex and strategic issues

- Responsible for engagement delivery and execution, project management and team mentoring

- Assist in solution development and sales related activities such as preparation of client proposals

- Understand the client's business, key strategic essentials of the client, industry and market dynamics, and make/ implement recommendations appropriate for the client's business needs to drive continuous improvement and generate value

- Coordinate with clients to understand applicable regulatory requirements and develop compliance repositories, frameworks and tools

- Develop, implement or review operational and/ or enterprise risk management frameworks

- Review and/ or automate regulatory reporting requirements

- Assist clients in undertaking risk based process reviews, developing process flow maps, risk and control matrices, and undertaking business and compliance testing for key and strategic business processes

Key Skills required:

- Understanding of the regulator guidelines and their impact on the business

- Ability to understand, interpret and implement new regulatory guidelines across Indian and leading global Regulatory bodies

- Very strong understanding of financial services industry, businesses, regulators and their roles

- Deep understanding of process risk and controls, along with associated compliance requirements

- Experience of working on new/ emerging regulatory requirements like AML, FATCA, GDPR etc.

Good to have (Preferred but not mandatory):

Good understanding of the Banking and Financial services markets

- Reserve Bank of India guidelines on Operational and Enterprise risk management

- Reserve Bank of India reporting requirements applicable to banks

- SEBI requirements for capital markets

- IRDA requirements for Insurance companies

- AMFI requirements for Asset management companies

- Be up to date of happenings related to KYC, AML, FATCA, GDPR and other global developments

- Emerging technologies in the Financial Services Sector, with a focus on emerging tools and products available for regulatory reporting, compliance libraries, and process risks and controls
