Consultant - Export Control Regulations - Automobile Sector - LLB

Through knowledge in the Export policy and control systems with respect to Law and it's impact for Automobile sector in India.

Select national export control laws & regulations.

High sense of urgency in completing international restricted party screening requests within an agreed response time.

Roles & Responsibilities - 

- Carry out the restricted party screening of all parties globally involved in the export, re-export.

- Manage release decisions or escalate to the relevant levels seeking release decisions, channel release decisions to requestors and stakeholders

- Document all release decisions and maintain accurate and complete records

- Follow pre-defined processes to ensure high accuracy and consistency of the results

- Recognize red flags and carry out know your customer due diligence in a defined scope

- Participate in trainings in line with the Training Policy to stay updated on relevant trade compliance laws & regulations under all relevant jurisdictions and on changes to the trade compliance policies and procedures, in short theTrade Compliance Program

- Conduct regular self-reviews to ensure accurate screening and documentation results

- Maintain auditable standards, prepare and support internal & external audits.

- Report and escalate to the Regional Trade Compliance Manager,the Director Trade Compliance/CCO as needed, including but not limited to any issues or potential violations

- Ensure recordkeeping compliance in line with the Record Keeping Policy

Key Competencies - 

- Diligently following pre-defined processes and applying high level of accuracy in carrying out the restricted party screening

- Basic knowledge and understanding of export control laws and regulations of at least one jurisdiction

- High sense of service and business orientation

- Uncompromising ethics and compliance mindset, staying firm under pressure

- Confident, ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization

- Comfortable working with international teams

- Works well under pressure and has the ability to set priorities, drives actions until complete, quality oriented approach of work

- Excellent issue resolutions skills

- Effective verbal and written communication skills, good presentation skills

- Knowledge of Visual Compliance Screening Tool a plus

- Allow for flexible working hours to accommodate global time zones

- Fluent English language skills

Qualifications And Experience - Degree in Law.
