Consultant - CSR, Hindustan Unilever Foundation
Job Purpose:
- To help HUF manage a high-quality portfolio of active programmes that deliver HUF's mandate of improving India's water security.
- To drive internal and external messaging of India's imminent water crisis and HUL's commitment to helping manage this. Highlight successful HUF programmes through a wide range of communications assets (comprising of articles, programme briefs, photo essays, notes, etc.) disseminated through different channels (LinkedIn, HUF Website, and other social media channels as required).
Key Responsibilities:Communication:- Develop and implement an internal and external communication plan that includes media outreach and social media content creation
- Work with key HUF and HUL teams to brainstorm content ideas in line with the HUF's strategy
- Research and prepare relevant content in alignment with internal teams to deliver a systematic comms outreach focusing the following:
External:
- LinkedIn
- Website
- Content for direct contact programme - panel discussions
- Support to HUL central team on Media Outreach
Internal:
- HUL newsletter
- HUL yammer
- Content for direct contact programme - Townhalls, familiarisation meeting
- Provide support to write programme briefs wherever required and create content for the HUF website, infographics, blogs, and newsletters.
- Ensure all communications assets adhere to the company's style guide,
- Focus on creating high-quality and error-free outputs
Project management:Play a critical role in programme management of select HUF programmes or a component of the programme. Responsible for successfully delivering the whole or part of the proposed programme, including change, coordination and execution management. Specifically, this includes:
- Developing and executing program plans
- Proactively monitoring programme progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action by seeking internal support
- Managing the programme's budget and ensuring programme milestones are linked to the programme's budget. Raising concerns on any deviations and seeking support to resolve those deviations
- Communicating and collaborating with program stakeholders
(This is critical: having a hands-on sense of our programmes and programme management is critical for every member of the HUF team) Experience Required:- A minimum of 4-5 years experience in communications strategy development and execution - either in the corporate or not-for-profit sector
- Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders - without hierarchical authority- is mandatory
- Desirable for candidates to have had Content writing experience and proven social media and networking expertise
Qualification & Skills Required:Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Communication-level proficiency in an Indian language in addition to English is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Powerpoint, and related business and communication tools. Broad understanding of the social and digital media landscape.
