Major Duties:
- Manage or support execution of key monthly and quarterly credit risk processes, including capital calculations, management reports, regulatory reports, and other credit risk metrics such as expected loss, RWA, PFE calculations etc.
- A strong knowledge base of regulatory reporting requirements for Credit, including Basel, CCAR, and/or SEC
- Partner should be able to provide insightful analysis, recommendations, conclusion and inferences for various reports. Also, the partner should have the ability to understand the intricacies of the reports and should be able to identify and resolve the anomalies and potential causes.
- The candidate must have an ability to rapidly grasp complex quantitative concepts, business processes, and reporting requirements and must be able to communicate effectively through both written and verbal communication with senior management and other partners
- Partner should be able to work with risk systems and technology to design strategies, automated solutions and ensure complete, correct and timely reporting
- Ensure strong controls over data, reports, and analysis, including automation, reconciliation, testing, independent verification/validation
- Manage or support controlled communication of data, reports, and other important Credit Risk information via Sharepoint, Workiva, and email.
- Attend and contribute to appropriate team and respective working and oversight meetings in order to gain insight into the usage of reporting produced and to assist in explanation for trends and issues identified through the analysis, monitoring and reporting process
- Improve process efficiency and effectiveness via a strong technical understanding of various processes and research/awareness of alternative methods
- Creatively solve analytical problems, and develop key insights via data analysis
- Respond to ad hoc data, reporting, and analytical requests as needed
- Operate independently, while ensuring timely output
- Act as subject matter expert on areas of responsibility
- Collaborate with different business units, committees, senior management, and regulators
- Strong People and project management skill
Skills:
- Master in Statistics/ Economics/Mathematics/advanced degree in quant area
- B.tech. From tier1/2 college with MBA in related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Proven process management and process improvement skills
- Advanced Excel skills (Business Objects, SQL, VBA, SAS, and/or Sharepoint expertise a plus)
- Strong data, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Conceptual and technical knowledge of credit risk
- Related Industry qualification (e.g., CFA, FRM) a plus
