Role Title: Industry SME - Sales and Marketing

Designation: Sr. VP / VP / Sr. Director / Director

Location - Bangalore/Mumbai / Hyderabad / Pune/ Chennai

Role & Responsibilities:

This role is a pivotal role within our IIP to strength our Commercially-minded Sales and Marketing Domain expertise - and provide this commercial acumen, guidance, and capability to complement consulting/solution teams around the world - helping them propose, pitch, and serve their Consumer Goods and Retail clients more effectively.

A photofit of the ideal candidate will comprise.

- We are looking for commercial expertise (Sales >> Marketing, P&L >> Balance sheet)

- We are looking for credible experience, so our solutions are "emotionally intelligent" and pragmatic in line with the knowledge of having had experience client-side

- Must have experience where they were responsible for execution and delivery of commercial goals in one of the following business functions - B2B Sales, Key Account Management, Category Management/Merchandising, Retail Buying/Procurement, Shopper Marketing or eCommerce Manager for one of these functions

- Should have had a pattern of success and we would expect them to be currently holding a managerial position where they are accountable for strategy and setting direction in one of the following or similar roles - Commercial Strategy, Net Revenue Management, Portfolio Pricing, Trade Promotion/Investment, Assortment/Category Management, Market Intelligence under the Sales/Growth/Commerce Office

- Exposure to a wide range of Consumer Goods & Services Categories is highly desirable (e.g., Food & Beverage, Household, Health & Beauty, General Merchandise, etc) - either working for a supplier, retailer or for a commercial agency supporting suppliers and retailers.

- Should also have a strong (positive) appreciation for the use of data and technology to drive sales and marketing objectives - and be able to provide examples form their own career - including, if possible, examples beyond being a user where they may have been part of designing/implementing/enabling new data and/or technology solutions for sales and marketing functions.

- Aptitude for consulting - i.e., be able to show they can draw a line from their experience and expertise to bring fresh perspective and potential solutions to client problems:

- Demonstrate direct experience and understanding of consumer products and retail strategy, industry trends, challenges and imperatives, business processes, best practices, and pain points

- Candidate must have strong customer and client service orientation, ability to quickly comprehend business problems and articulate solutions in terms of business value provided
