Conflate Capital - Analyst/Associate - Investment Banking

Qualification: B.E. / CFA Level 2 cleared / Post Graduate - Finance / MBA

Research and Analysis:

- The investment banking Analyst/Associate will be required to research and comb through trends in technology industry and companies within the sector.

- The research and analysis must be extensive to be able to produce a report, which offers ideas or solutions.

Monitoring Finances:

- Investment banking Analyst/Associate has to keep a close eye on the finances of the organization. This role will involve analyzing cash flow and other account statements. While monitoring finances, will be required to make financials projections of the organization's financial statements based on logical assumptions.

- The Analyst/Associate will be responsible for valuation analyses, which make use of several methodologies such as financial ratios, DCF and relative valuation.

Client Assistance:

- As an investment banking Analyst/Associate, you will be the link between attorneys, investors and clients. Analyst/Associate need to prepare for calls or conference meetings with clients.

- Customers needs the expertise of a professional when undertaking prospective or actual transactions.

- Analyst/Associate's duty will be to analyze the requisite data to help provide prospective or current corporate clients with the necessary advice pertaining to these transactions. Analyst/Associate's input is also important in identifying prospective opportunities and attractive investment opportunities.

Pitch Books Compilation:

- Using presentation software such as PowerPoint, Analyst/Associate will compile pitch books to assist in securing deals with prospective clients.

- Incorporate comprehensive analysis of investment, financing or strategic acquisition options and any proposals for the client that are in line with their strategic goals.

- The pitch book also includes a SWOT analysis as well as a profile of the investment bank. The previous successes of your investment bank, team and its performance are key to clinching the deal, so you will have to remember to include this information in the pitch book.
