Market Job Description
Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compensation programs designed to meet company and business unit needs.
Partners with HR staff and managers as an internal consultant to develop base and incentive compensation programs and to resolve complex issues which require an evaluation of various factors.
Exercises judgment within broadly defined policies and practices in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
Participates in or may conduct salary surveys, analyzes internal and external compensation data utilizing quantitative, financial and statistical tools, and manages special projects.
Reviews and recommends new or revised job classifications.
Reviews existing and proposed compensation laws and regulations and recommends appropriate course of action.
May develop ad hoc reports to analyze specific compensation-related issues such as turnover and report findings and recommendations to management. May manage the compensation function for a business unit.
