- Must has good knowledge of local safety regulations and legislation. Keeps well-informed of changes and ensures compliance with regulations.

- Will ensure the statutory compliance W.r.t. Health, Safety and Environment. Will liaise with the statutory bodies and obtain the necessary licenses timely as per plan.

- Will ensure the safe work environment it the Client premises. Will conduct the regular EHS awareness and motivational programmers and will ensure the implementation of EHS suggestion schemes. Implementation of safety management system as per unity Manager's HSE Handbook.

- Will do the COSHH product assessment of all the hazardous substances used at site and also the availability of the MSDS. Implementation of Permit to work system.

- The LOTO procedure for all the electrical equipment's. Will conduct the regular safety inspection of the site and ensure the implementation of safe work procedures.

- The availability of good quality of safety equipment (PPEs) and the use of the same by all the concerned. Will ensure the periodic check / test / inspection / maintenance of all the fire fighting equipment's and the installations in the premises.

- Will ensure the display of essential safety posters and the emergency signage in the premises. Keep up to date, is aware of tasks and deadlines, and clarifies uncertainty with Key Account Manager. Understand risk assessment techniques and ensure they are applied in the area.

- Takes actions based on risk assessment results, in accordance with hierarchy of controls. Prepare safety plans to achieve the safety vision in the area and drive Implementation.

- Understands investigation techniques and relevant processes of incident and accident analysis.

- Ensures that safety is adequately Integrated into the selection and use of contractors, contributes to the contractors safety evaluation process.

Training Requirements :

- All employees must be provided with sufficient and suitable information, Instruction and training In order to carry out the task and operate equipment.

- All employees must receive training in correct manual handling techniques.

Management Responsibilities :

- Manager is responsible for ensuring that all equipment is serviced, maintained and inspected in accordance with national/local requirements, manufacturers- guidelines and Group procedures.

- Manager is responsible for ensuring that any work equipment is regularly inspected and records maintained. In addition all portable electrical equipment must display a current test identification label.

- Manager is responsible for ensuring Risk & COSHH assessments have been undertaken, so that adequate controls are in place.

Employee Responsibilities :

- Employees must only carry out the task if they have received training.

- Employees must acknowledge that they have received and understood appropriate information to undertake the task safely.

- Employees must ensure that equipment is checked prior to use and is safe to use.

- Employees must only use equipment within specification and design parameters

- Employees must report any faults with work equipment to their Line Manager immediately.

- All employees are empowered to stop any job they feel is unsafe and must immediately report this to their line supervisor or HSE advisor.

Emergency Planning:

- Member of Emergency Management Committee. Ensure to identify the ERT members and will conduct Fire safety and First aid training for all the ERT Members.

- Ensure to conduct the periodic mock emergency evacuation drill as per plan. Seeks opportunities for change and translates ideas into effective implementation.

- Searches for best practices and encourages others to adopt it. Identify new equipment requirements on plants and submit capex requests. Will ensure the maintenance of all the EHS related records and documents.

- Prepare and submit the monthly EHS MAP data to corporate HSE and submit the EHS data for MRM to the KAM. Conduct the periodic EHS training programs and daily tool box talks at site.

- EHS workshop as per plan. Head the EHS functions and will guide the EHS executives to perform their jobs. Continuous manning of the SITE by the EHS Executive round the Clock. Keep regular / required co-ordination with other functional leads.
