Overall Purpose of the Role : This role will be responsible for managing overall execution and delivery of spectrum of Finance and accounts results encompassing finalization of accounts, general ledger accounting, budgeting, costing, audit and MIS in order to achieve Compass's strategic financial objectives. The role would assess the Finance Shared services operating model including the areas of payables, receivables, payroll and treasury while enhancing capabilities on Financial & Operations Reporting. ROLE DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS : - Planning & executing monthly / quarterly / annual closure schedules; providing monthly financial statements - Ensuring periodic key financial controls compliance on AP, AR & GL, documentation and monthly Balance sheet review - Forecasting cash flows and driving working capital management in close coordination with cross-functional teams - Managing advance tax payments, filing of Income Tax returns, handling Income Tax assessments and tax and transfer pricing audits. - Identifying revenue leakages and opportunities of cost optimization by analysing financial and non-financial information, reporting to management, root cause and action towards closure - Leading adoption of new accounting standards, doing impact analysis and ensuring organization's readiness for change - Working closely and reviewing the deliveries of payables, receivables, payroll and treasury functions - Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained. - Planning & executing various accounting & financial activities like budgeting & forecasting and developing profit & loss summary, reconciliation, cash flow statement & bank account reconciliation - Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans. - Reviewing and recommending measures for continuous improvement in internal controls, scheduling and deployment of finance processes - Responsible for accounting and related activities, including general accounting, cost accounting, MIS, cash management, internal controls, taxation compliances, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable, fixed assets etc. - Develop trends and projections for the firm's finances to maintain the financial health of the organization. - Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE : Essential : - Academics: Chartered account is a must (Please do not apply if you are not a CA) - Experience: 10-12 years of work experience in similar role - Thorough knowledge on SAP/ Proficient user of finance software - Excellent MS office skills - Critical thinker and problem-solving skills. - Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns - A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles and standards (IFRS, Ind AS) - Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations - Ability to handle pressure and multitask - Self-Starter. Ability & Agility to conceptualize and drive strategic agenda - Interpersonal Savvy - Relate well to all kinds of people inside and outside of the organization with diplomacy and tact - Competent to manage various stakeholders - Organized and methodological.
