POSITION/JOB DESCRIPTION

DESIGNATION- Commercial Manager (Client is the No.1 Global Player in Escalator/Elevator Industry)

ROLE/BUSINESS - Support Legal and Finance Department in the areas detailed below

REPORTING TO - Straight Line Reporting to General Counsel – India and Dotted Line Reporting to Director - Finance

DIRECT REPORTS - None

LOCATION OF JOB - Mumbai, Powai

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES :

- Commercial Review of Contracts

- Responsible for all pre-sales commercial activity as per SRM policy

- Reviewing of Sales Order as per Limits of Authority

- Risk Analysis and Mitigation of tenders related to Commercial & Legal

- Participate in customer meeting for Order Finalisation (Large Projects)

- Support Sales Team in Tax Matters viz. VAT, Service Tax, Excise, BOCW etc

- Legal review, vetting and drafting of Agreements and various legal / commercial documents

- (Client Name) Receivable Management

- Owner of SRM policy which includes preparation, review, updates and amendments

- Responsible for Training on Legal and Finance Policies to all concerned

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor of Commerce and Degree in Law

- Working Knowledge of Computer Systems with exposure Excel, Word and PowerPoint

PREFERRED AGE - 30 – 35 Yrs.

WORK EXPOSURE/EXPERIENCE

- Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in a similar capacity preferably with leading engineering and infrastructure firms

- Credit and Risk Assessment Management Skills

- Excellent communication skills (written & oral).

- Good Negotiation Skills

- Exposure in Matrix

- Organizations

Exposure in Limits of

- Authority Guidelines

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALITIES

- Knowledge on Legal and Tax Matters related to BOCW, VAT, High Seas Sales and Service Tax

- Good PR qualities and ability to maintain excellent rapport with Internal and External Customers

- Integrity of highest order

- Open for Domestic travel.

- CONSUMER/CUSTOMER VALUE BY

- Direct interface with External Customers and internal customers viz. Co-employees, Statutory Authorities, Auditors, Consultants etc. by strict adherence to laws, company policies and practices, minimum turnaround time for employee related issues, etc.

Desired Profile:-

Commercial Functions including vetting of Contract, Tenders, pricing of large tenders, Bank Guarantees, L/C, support for collections. Making process and policies.

Responsible for review, negotiations and closures of Customer Contracts, Master Framework Agreements, Tenders, Vendor Contracts, preparations of management summary, drafting, preparing and conducting trainings on processes and policies. Ensuring co ordinations with (i) global teams of Legal and Treasury for approvals and documentations (ii) internal teams of taxation, credit controllers, finance, product, marketing for large projects.
