Commercial Head - Depots & Plants - Manufacturing Industry

Commercial Operations: -

- Setting up of New Project/Plant, Getting Licenses/NOC's from various govt. bodies & Ensuring Statutory Compliances.

- Looking after GST, Central Excise, Customs, Import-Export, VAT, WCT, Purchase & Stores, Logistics, Costing, MIS, Accounts & Commercial activities of Plant.

- Dealing with Central Excise & Customs, Sales Tax/VAT, Pollution Control Board, Labour Departments, Electricity Deptt., Director of Industries, Development Authorities and many other govt. bodies.

- Developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedure for all Commercial & Accounts related activities.

- Involve in techno-commercial negotiations, managing projects, agreements & contracts with Contractors, vendors, CFA- s, transporters and other external agencies.

- Looking after Logistics - domestic & exports, dealing with transporters, transport unions & CHA- s, billing, issue of debit/credit notes, and settlement/verification of dealers- scheme /claims & product movement.

- Commissioning of Warehouses for Operation including site selection, Negotiation & finalization of terms, legal documentation & commercial documentation and finally entering into an agreements.

- Managing all Warehouses, C& F Operations to ensure that service to customer demands are met as per benchmarks and at cost effective rates.

Taxation :-

- Monitoring & filing of GST Returns and Refunds

- Exposure to VAT returns & Assessments for various states & plant level

- Filing of Service Tax Returns, Service Tax Audit and Refunds

- Deposit of TDS & periodic Returns

- Filing of Excise Returns & Maintenance of Various Excise Records

- Getting Central Excise Regn No., Customs Factory Stuffing Permission & Private Bonded Warehouse License

- Getting EPCG Licenses, Documentation for Claims of Terminal Excise Duty Refunds & Service Tax Refunds

- Exports Containers Factory Stuffing around average 500 containers per month

- Complete Documentation for operation of Private bonded warehouse w.r.t. In bond & Ex bonding

- Dealing with Excise & Customs authorities up to Chief Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise.

MIS, Budgeting, Costing & Pricing :-

- Supervising the preparation of MIS reports and other statements to provide feedback to top management on financial performance viz. Inventory, Working Capital Monitoring, Production & dispatches, fund management, credit control, profitability, etc.

- Formulating monthly budgets and analyzing variances to determine difference between projected & actual results and implementing corrective actions

- Implementation of CO module in SAP for Product Costing

- Product Costing and Pricing, Costing of Utilities, Tracking, Controlling & elimination of unproductive costs.

- Product Cost Run/Costing on Monthly basis and Variance Analysis

- Maintenance of Costing Records and Cost Audit- s

- Preparation of CAS4

Purchase & Stores :-

- Finalization of Civil Contracts & procurement of Construction materials for plants.

- Purchase of Machineries and Misc. Fixed Assets for Green Field & Brown Field Projects.

- Purchase of Raw Materials, Packing Materials, Chemicals, Fuels (Steam Coal, Rice Husk, Diesel, F.O., LPG, LNG & CNG), Capex items, Consumables & Maintenance materials etc.

- Inventory Management & ensure maintenance of Stocks within Acceptable Levels

- Instrumental in implementation of Centralized Purchases

Statutory Compliances :

- Ensuring adherence to Statutory Compliances w.r.t VAT Act, Central Excise & Customs, ESIC Act, PF, Contract Labour Act, Payment of Gratuity Act, Payment of Wages Act, Payment of Bonus Act, Minimum Wages Act, Professional Tax & Storage Licenses.

- Ensuring collection, issue of statutory forms & timely deposit of VAT Returns & Assessments

- Timely Deposit of TDS, Service Tax, WCT and their Returns

- Ensuring the settlement of all the transit & fire insurance claims

Liasioning : -

- Laisioning with Labour Law departments, Pollution Control Boards, Director of Industries, Electricity boards, Development authorities, Gram Panchyats, Central Excise & Customs, Sales Tax/Vat authorities, banks & financial institutions, National Highway authorities, Forest department, trade unions, newspaper agencies and all allied laisioing work related to industry.

Accounting Management :-

Plant & Financial Accounting

- Finalization of Accounts, Monthly Trial Balance, P/L Account and Balance Sheet

- Ledger Scrutiny, Debtors & Creditors Control

- Assets Accounting & Capitalization of New Plant Assets

- Funds Management, Payable Management, Banks & third party Reconciliations

- Coordinating with Internal and Statutory Auditors to complete their audit, ensuring resolution of queries for finalization of balance sheet

- Managing and maintaining statutory books of accounts, reconciliation statements and consolidated reports in compliance.

Stock/Warehouse Accounting :-

- Maintaining stock records on a monthly/yearly basis.

- Implementing better system/control checks for monitoring material movement in warehouses across the region.

- Ensuring safety of the assets and stock; monitoring sales stock, implementing security procedures; and ensuring safety of employees.

- Ensuring maintenance of records as per ISO norms & maintenance of godown's as per 5S.

Candidate Requirement :-

- CA / ICWA

- Should have strong experience in handling depot management and plant commercials
