Commercial Director - Innovation & UX Business - Market Research

Position - Commercial Director, UX and Innovation, India

We are hiring a Commercial Director to lead our UX and Innovation business unit in India, with the aim to constantly deliver outstanding research, design and consulting services to our clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Establish and act as an expert of both global and local knowledge and a leading voice for user experience and innovation in various industries, which include but not limit to technology, automobile, consumer and social media

- Work to establish a world-class UX and Innovation consulting practice based on consumer insights and market data, and deliver the strategic consulting framework definition for clients

- Manage the business unit structured by a group of (~30) researchers and achieve the P&L targets

- Manage the strategic relationships with current clients and explore collaboration with new and potential clients

- Work with APAC and Global UX and Innovation BU and manage the P&L and budget, including resource allocation for projects delivery, and ensuring profit margins are achieved

- Create staffing plans and lead hiring activities to support the needs of India, APAC and Global verticals

- Incubate a positive and inclusive collaborative culture internally and externally

Who you are

- At least 17 years of professional experience in the domain of UX ( User Experience), Innovation, HCI (Human Computer Interaction), User Studies, Market Research or Consulting, with minimum of 5-10 years in international companies

- A thought leadership across multiple sectors and domains with a diverse profile - an energetic leader, a fantastic communicator and an all-round operator

- Strong business acumen and leadership with previous P&L experience, managing distributed teams

- Proven record on leading a business unit with a yearly revenue no less than 1 M Euro

- Solid experience and knowledge in UX and innovation program development, creation and delivery, including tools, methods, processes, etc

- Strong communicative and organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects, lead the local team and work with global team

- Know-how of design thinking and an entrepreneur background is a plus.
