Commercial Contract cum Project Manager - Solar EPC

COMMERCIAL (CONTRACTS) CUM PROJECT MANAGEMENT PROFILE SOLAR EPC

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Our client is an Opex/RESCO developer in the distributed solar space.

2. The sales team sources the PPAs from private commercial and industrial customers (mostly) and some government entities. These projects are then implemented in house EPC.

3. Our client is also approached by EPC players who bring PPAs and want to offer EPC. In such a case, entire Engineering Procurement Construction is outsourced to the EPC player. Our clients teams are still involved but in a reviewer/approver role.

- Engineering approves drawings.

- Procurement free issues solar modules and certain other items which are typical to the Client.

- Construction supervises construction at site.

- Quality reviews pre-dispatch inspection reports and sometimes carries out pre-dispatch inspections itself.

4. Currently our Clients Project Management is the counter party for such EPC players. Due to bandwidth issues, our client is looking for a specialist for handling the EPC channel.

5. The position will be in PMO, reporting to AVP PMO. Will work closely with COO as well.

6. B Tech plus MBA (preferred).

7. 7-8 years experience, preferably in MNCs, large Indian corporates.

8. Could have been either with EPC players of clients.

9. Wind, solar, other such small/short time gestation projects experience helpful. Large project experience will have more knowledge but speed may be an issue. Also, may not have handled the variety of issues or the types of counter parties (small) that (s)he will handle here.

10. Should have very good knowledge of contracts and should not shirk from getting into technical issues. Will liaise internally with various departments and will be solely responsible for delivering projects on-time and in-budget.
