Job Description


- The purpose of this new role is to aid decision making and to provide commercial and financial support to the business, principally to the Sales and Marketing side of the business.


- The role is broad and wide reaching and job holder can expect to play a pivotal role in helping grow the business.

Twinings commenced business operation in India in 1997, and is a premium player in the teabags segment. The brand is well known, and is poised for future growth in India as many key trends/changes are moving in its favour. Twinings has a wide range of products to offer their discerning consumers, with a packing facility in in Kolkata, which produces all their local needs. Twinings is present across all channels ( General Trade, Modern Trade, HoReCa, Ecommerce, institutions).

Description

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you are responsible for

- Analysing (Sanitize) data and information coming via the Distributor to help understanding and aid better decision making

- Enabling the Sales and Marketing functions to follow agreed internal forecasting/budgeting guidelines and timetables.

- Commercially challenge and support marketing in development of any consumer/retail research

- Work with the Distributor to ensure transparency of plans/costs/risks ahead of time.

- Ensure clarity of all commercial activities Vs plan, with detailed analyses to explain variances to financial and non-financial team members


- Ensure control of Sales and Marketing spend ( pricing/discounts/offers/deals/spends).

- Regularly analysing data coming from Distributor to identify trends, vagaries, issues, opportunities.

- Building robust & implementable commercial plans by channel, challenging all input assumptions, resulting in detailed P&Ls.

Profile

The ideal candidate should come with relevant Sales Commercial experience in the FMCG industry with an international company/brand. Also, the candidate must be a degree holder, a qualified accountant and should have good interpersonal skills.
