Colt - Head/Director - Commercial Finance

Role Purpose - 

- Provide expert commercial insight to the leadership team, appropriately challenges the business proposals and proactively work to drive business growth.

- Recommend and highlight risks, opportunities and alternatives in all business proposals

- Responsible for Commercial Operations set-up associated infrastructure and Operations

- Demonstrate experience in the evaluation of new business initiatives and the development of business cases to clearly articulate the benefits of identified opportunities or projects.

- Produce Reporting Analytics to enable identification of key trends or issues in the Business

Key Accountabilities:

- Provide consulting solutions to internal stakeholders on various issues ranging from finance evaluation, process optimization, trading, pricing, control environment & other various finance related activities to streamline internal financial processes in order to achieve Target objectives & maximize Operational efficiencies.

- Implement policies, procedures, processes and controls to safeguard the integrity of the financial reporting as well as the operational mechanisms.

- Act as a trusted business advisor and strategic business partner to the Senior Leadership team.

- Produce & provide management with accurate timely financial data, related to business financial performance, quantitative analysis & KPIs in accordance with global financial best practices and evaluation models, to support day to day business & investment decision making.

- Appropriately interpret the commercial terms of client RFP/ RFQ and requirements and work with stakeholders to minimise commercial and operational risks. Assists in contract / subcontract negotiations

- Participate in compliance investigations and coordinate with the business at all levels to ensure implementation of appropriate corrective and/or preventative actions to close out issues

- Develop controls, processes and procedures to aid in delivering P&L as planned by ensuring there are no revenue leakage and cost overrun.

- Become the go-to-individual for researching complex contract issue, summarizes and communicates key contractual requirements and obligations.

Other Accountabilities :

- Keep abreast with latest telecom, commercial and tax regulations & advise various stakeholders

- Updating the Management on any amendments

- Ensure Regulatory Compliances (joint responsibility with Legal)

Experience:

- 10-20 years of Experience

- Telecom domain finance & operations

- Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and comfortable executive presence as well as a strong agility to motivate staff and increase engagement

Qualification:

- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance - CA/ MBA

- Significant experience in working with external auditors, internal controls and handling complex compliance issues
