Tooth Brush Sourcing Manager - Colgate Palmolive  Position Title: Tooth Brush Sourcing Manager  Location:Mumbai  Qualification: MBA/PGDM in Operations from Premier Institute   (Batch 2010, 2011 and 2012 may apply)  Experience: 3-4 years of experience post MBA/PGDM (Min 1.5 year of sourcing experience is mandatory)  Reporting Relationship: Reports to Tooth Brush Sourcing & Procurement Manager  Scope of Responsibility:   The Sourcing Manager is responsible for effectively managing the purchasing activity for specific materials or groups of materials or services, and for developing collaborative partnerships with both CP colleagues and suppliers. He/she must deliver the agreed to business results while maintaining positive employee and supplier relations. The primary accountabilities of the role include subsidiary purchasing, financial performance, Customer Service, Quality and managing supplier relationships.   The Sourcing Manager is an effective and valuable member of the local team that ensures delivery of subsidiary or Division business results. The Sourcing Manager integrates the supplier with Manufacturing, and is responsible for ensuring that the Supply Chain has the materials it needs to complete its mission and obligation to our customers.  The Sourcing Manager also assumes a key role in developing mutually beneficial relationships with the suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies.  Core Responsibilities:  - Accountable for the Purchasing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and working with the entire Supply Chain, Customer Service and Logistics, and Sales organizations to maximize results.  - Executes effective negotiations for specific raw materials or indirect purchases. Develop Cost Models/Insight in to supplier costs to help function achieve cost savings   - Implements and monitors the Purchasing budget for the specific materials of responsibility.   - Ensures the highest level of Customer Service is provided to our internal Customers (Factory/CM) through the development and maintenance of order replenishment best practices (inclusive of Vendor Managed Inventory relationships)  - Optimizes transportation and inbound freight costs for specified materials.  - Manages contract manufacturing requirements and, as necessary, cross border sourcing requirements of contracted materials  - Interfaces with supplier- s sales, technical and other functional groups as well as Colgate Supply Chain, Technology, Marketing and Finance functions to enforce Purchasing policies, resolve issues, align service and financial strategies.  - Assist in continuous improvement programs with suppliers  - Together with New Product launch teams, ensures new products are executed effectively  - Contributes to local Funding the Growth Programs  - Leverages SAP in day to day function & Maintains Info Record. Responsible for P2, PO issue  - Executes subsidiary efforts in using new - e-tools- (auctions, Enterprise Buyer Pro, etc.) to help drive Funding the Growth, simplification and standardization programs for the subsidiary  - Accountable for adhering to Colgate-Palmolive, and governmental guidelines related to EOHS, Quality, and Regulatory for materials of responsibility.   - Develop awareness and influence compliance with local government laws and regulations pertaining to materials.  - Provides input to a crisis management / business interruption plan, as per corporate guidelines  - Continues to improve oneself by way of training, information sharing, coaching and feedback, appraisals, delegation and implementing best practices.   - Develops documented understanding of market structure and drivers for his/her materials, with risk management overview, and identifies opportunities and threats for the future.
