Role: Supply Consultant owns the supply side of the marketplace, ensuring Cogoport at all times has the needed, competitive supplier liquidity and, through consultation, improve the business of our Strategic Suppliers with focus on assisting new and existing suppliers to grow their business and margins. At this stage, there are two roles within the job category of Supply Consultant being - Supply Consultant - Specialist and Supply Consultant - Generalist. Responsibilities: - Reflecting market demand and Cogoport customer needs, survey the market for relevant supplier partners - Create a pipeline of suppliers relevant for Cogoport; actively manage CRM funnel - Shortlist and engage partners on the globally determined criteria, negotiating the required capacity - In engaging with suppliers aim to leverage each supplier as a channel to grow the Cogoport business - Build deep and meaningful relations with each supplier rooted in Cogoport capabilities and growth of the supplier business - Establish regular, structured consultative engagements with each contracted supplier with the aim of supporting their business growth Requirements: - Proven track record in successfully developing and implementing effective and compelling supplier relations and partnerships. - Experienced in consulting and/or consultative selling. Excellent listening and facilitation skills. - Decides complex issues with ease, translating them to compelling supplier opportunities. - Responds well to pressure, and is organised and structured. Interested in psychology and behaviour (of suppliers). - Fearless and able to argue the case for a particular approach and happy to coach colleagues and suppliers at every level on their communications.
