Cognizant - Business Analyst

Role: Business Analyst

Responsibilities :

- Analyze operations performance data (KPIs & SLAs) and share insights with the operations leadership team. Pull data required (from different client sources - Tools/systems etc) to conduct business analysis, design reporting infrastructure and work on dashboard development

- Conduct data analysis and ad-hoc number crunching to make recommendations to improve the process

- Model data in order to create quantitative models including forecast, operational, financial and statistical models of business dynamics

- Develop & build analysis output into intuitive presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint/Google slides) of findings and recommendations

- Build weekly/monthly/quarterly client business review presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint/Google slides)

- Liaison with stakeholders across both, Cognizant Operations Management and client Project Managers to collated data for analysis/ presentation build.

What we look for in a candidate :

- Passion for developing and analyzing large, complex data sets (typically work on MS Excel/Google Sheets) and converting them into simple bits of information and visually presenting them (MS PowerPoint/Google Slides) in a lucid manner

- A self driven individual, ready to take on responsibility for tasks allocated and work with minimal supervision

- Problem solver - ability to understand and solve complex challenges and come up with innovative and scalable solutions

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to operate and communicate effectively with stakeholders - both internal (Cognizant ) and client

- Team player with a passion to learn and willingness to work across timezones (flexible, self-determined staggered shift to coverage - APAC, EMEA & Americas)

Qualifications and Experience :

- 5 plus years of experience in business development or in a MIS (Management Information Systems)/Business Performance Reporting role

- MBA/equivalent Master's degree (specialization in Management Information System and an Engineering Degree preferred)

- Experience analyzing data and creating reports with strong Spreadsheet (Excel/Google Sheets) & Presentation (PowerPoint/Google Slides). Good to have: Experience in running statistical models, quantitative modeling, and forecasting skills

- Proven experience in identifying opportunities for business improvement, and defining and measuring the success of those initiatives.

- Strong organizational , project management and coordination skills

- Excellent presentation development, written and verbal communications skills

- Able to work independently, motivated, proactive attitude with a passion for learning and creative problem solving

- Relevant industry experience and knowledge of or Digital/internet and Google's products / services (preferred):

- Ability to learn any new client technology/language quickly

Good to have :

- Knowledge of database and basics of programming languages

- SQL, Java scripts/App-scripts

- Experience in working with interactive dashboards - PowerBI, Tableau, Google 360 or any other proprietary BI tools
