To create communication, and profile HCCB in traditional, online news media, blogosphere, TV news media and to internal customers across the country. The incumbent is responsible for creating content and news stories relevant to employees, respective media houses and channels, build and maintain relationship with the press and predict and participate in news cycles.

1. Create news stories and content that gets published in print, online news media, blogs and TV news media, all across the country - Gather information and developments at HCCB and position them as news stories worthy reportage, across India.

2. Develop and maintain relationships with the press, across India with reporters / Editors / Bureau chiefs of all regional, vernacular and English media and TV channels - thereby building a healthy culture of information exchange between HCCB and other party

3. Executive Communications - Briefing materials, talking points, background notes, speeches, presentations for senior leadership and company spokespersons

4. Crisis Response and Communication - Effectively manage / handle any crisis and issues pertaining to HCCB in traditional media and online and broadcast media like - product issues, employee issues, accidents, bad experience etc

5. Supervise and ensure effective employee engagement at HCCB - by telling stories and spreading them across locations of HCCB (factories, sales offices depots, warehouses etc.)

Functional Competencies:

1. Excellent media relations - Must have working level contacts and deep relationships with senior editorial staffers in the press, across India

2. Content creation - Ability to create press releases, notes, collate information to create stories and adapt existing content to different mediums

3. Executive Communications - Ability to create Briefing materials, talking points, background notes, speeches, presentations for senior leadership and company spokespersons

4. Crisis Response and Communication - Ability and prior experience to have handled large, national crisis like product quality and integrity, IR and employee issues, strikes and protests etc

5. Skill of engaging and conveying company messages to internal audiences through the use of national intranet, location specific tools (notice boards etc), AV equipment etc.
