JOB DESCRIPTION Objective: - Demand Planning is a key S&OP process along with working closely with Market Operations, Commercial and Supply chain to ensure desired level of finished goods availability at HCCB factories/depots. - The associate is responsible to facilitate forecast generation process and preparation of construct after incorporating inputs from multi-functional group, gather market insights, and drive usage of forecasting tool (JDA) and partner with market operations and commercial function to drive weekly forecast accuracy by analysing error in the process and driving continuous improvement to manage forecast error within acceptable range. - In addition, the associate is also responsible for facilitating the creation of the sales plan for the next month after incorporating the inputs from all the zones Job Responsibilities: - Drive S&OP process and use planning tool (JDA/BlueYonder) to construct rolling 13-week forecast for entire portfolio of finished products. - Collaborate with multi-functional stake holders to arrive at aggregated consensus volume plan and understand impacts of demand drivers - Do deep dive analysis on Zone/BU/Brand/Category performance as per S&OP requirements - Assess and highlight to management the risks and opportunities to volume forecast, evaluate variance against rolling monthly sales plan and support with analysis on gap closure - Support development and conception of portfolio expansion and commercial plans, which includes new product launches and discontinuation of obsolete SKUs. Analyse effectiveness of commercial interventions and creating an archive for future reference. - Monitor Sell-in and Sell-through trends, collect business intelligence, and recommend corrective action; adjust forecasts accordingly as per cadence. Ensure promotion related details are timely incorporated in planning tool and ensure all zone-level local promotions/incentives are part of rolling forecast - Use statistical methods/tools to generate forecast and sensitive stakeholders on baseline data; highlight variation in demand vs various inputs like schemes, consumer/trade promos, NPD etc. - Manage exceptions to Demand & provide feedback loop to Supply Planning. Ensure faster response to changes in market demand. - Maintain and improve forecasting metrics MSBF FA, forecast bias, BBD write-off costs, and other related metrics at HCCB level - Drive Inventory ownership of FG and RMPM by setting up inventory policies/guidelines and ensuring execution through a standard process. Collaborate with Supply Planning Head to understand capacity/replenishment challenges on unconstrained forecast and take corrective actions accordingly - Facilitate the creation of the sales plan for the next month after incorporating the inputs from all the zones - Provide continuous feedback to top management on sales vs forecast variance in the dynamic demand forecast. Secure sign-off from CCO on rolling 3-month forecast through Central Demand Review, prepare executive S&OP-deck for enabling management decision making. - Ensure capability development of DP team through continuous training, instructor-led training sessions and periodic coaching on functional, leadership and business skills.
