JOB OBJECTIVES: - Assist the National Head Taxation and VP Taxation in management of GST law and Litigation, planning, assisting Zones /Units in interpreting the law, closure of litigation in erstwhile regime, and be an advisory specialist for all matters on Indirect Taxes - Be the first line of defense as a professional resource in all formal interaction with the GST Department (SGST and CGST) Position Reports to : National Head of Tax Job Responsibilities : - Be a part of Corporate Tax (IDT ) and assist National Head on GST and erstwhile laws - Handholding of Zones/Units on GST Compliances - Interpretation of Laws and presentation before all Quasi-Judicial authorities (under GST regime and erstwhile regime) - Briefing Counsels on issues and presentation of Company matters - Assist the IGAAP Team in finalization of accounts as far as IDT is concerned - Assist National Shared Services to understand requirements on Units on GST Compliances - Handle Audit assessments, replying to queries and articulation of all policy matters before Statutory authorities - Assisting in formulating policies for optimization of ITC and enhancement credit opportunities - Interacting with Zones /Units and identifying special opportunities in areas of Industrial Policy incentives etc - Meeting State Industrial Development authorities on Incentives and presentation of plans etc Minimum Work Experience: 4 to 6 years of experience in Indirect taxation function in a mid-sized /large manufacturing company having manufacturing and sales activities in different states preferably FMCG. Understanding of FMCG sales and distribution and statutory compliances for taxation purpose 1. Accounting and Reporting (c)- Working Knowledge 2. Commercials (c)-Working Knowledge 3. Controls and Compliance (c)-Working Knowledge 4. Taxation (a)-Mastery 5. Treasury and Cash Management-(c)-Working Knowledge IT Skills Exposure to SAP ERP desirable Excel Skills mandatory Travel: 10 to 12 days in a month
